Un veidojas jaunā dzīvība.
Pārslīdot ēdelīgajam galvas posmam,
Dzīvības veste ar tajā esošajām olām sakļaujas kamolā
Un izveido izturīgu kokonu.
Kokons droši iesaiņo jaunās slieciņas
Baro tās ar gādīgās sliekas ielikto barību – olbaltumvielām.
Jostiņa kļūst resnāka un gļotaināka,
Slieka no tās lēnām maucas ārā,
Virzot atbrīvojušos gļotu jostiņu uz priekšgalu.
Jo tā tālāk slīd uz sliekas galvgalu, jo interesantāk.
Un tā ik gadu...

Sliding over the Father-section, the seeds are planted.
Sliding over the Mother-section, the eggs are laid.
Seeds and eggs unite
And new life is formed.
Sliding over the edacious head-section,
The Vest of Life, together with the eggs inside, closes into a ball
And creates a durable cocoon.
The cocoon safely packages the young worms
Feeding them the meal – protein - placed within by the caring earthworm
The Belt grows fatter and more slimy,
The worm slowly wrings out of it,
Moving the freed slime belt to its front end.
The further it slides to the worm’s front end, the more interesting it gets.
And it is so each year...
