Labāk atdot daļu, nevis visu.
Ja slieka dzīva, tad priekšgals ar smadzenēm zinās kā atjaunot pakaļgalu ar visiem mammas un tēta posmiem un arī jostiņu.
Jo visur ir vienkāršas šūnas – cilmes šūnas, kuras atceras kāda slieka bija pirms uzbrukuma.
Katrā posmā ir pavisam vienkāršas šūnas, kuru misija ir atjaunot jebkuru zaudēto šūnu vai miesas gabalu.
Vienkāršās šūnas ir ģeniālas ar to, ka katrā no tām ielikta informācija par visu sliekas ķermeni.
Tāpēc šīs šūnas kopīgi darbojoties var atjaunot gan sliekas priekšgalu, gan pakaļgalu, gan aizlāpīt caurumu tās sānos.
Katrs sliekas posms ir vienāds un katrā posmā ir ielikts vienāds ģenētiskais kods, kas ļauj kaut no dažiem posmiem atjaunot slieku visā pilnībā.
Taču pakaļgalam vajag ilgāku laiku, lai saprastu, kur ir priekšgals.
Un atkal nāk talkā apķērīgās cilmes šūnas katrā posmā, kuras norāda uz sliekas priekšgalu un atdzimšana notiek.
Jo primitīvāks, jo vieglāk atjaunot zudušās ķermeņa daļas.
Primitīvisms ir ieguvums. Pat līdz šim pazaudētās nelielās smadzenes var atjaunot.
Slieka kā pazemes Prometejs baro savus ienaidniekus, bet var savu ķermeni atjaunot.

Primitivism is a benefit. Even the small brains that have been lost can be regenerated.
The Earthworm as the Prometheus of the underworld feeds his enemies, and can regenerate his own body.
