about

The underworld is fertile. Roots that feed the plants above ground and at th same time nourish all that is living inhabit the underworld. It maintains and holds all that lives aboveground, as the foundations of a house, as the basis of the living Nature.

The dark underground is inhabited also by the Grandaddy earthworm Lumbricus terrestris. The worm of the earth, who brings fertility to each of us over countless of millions of years. Worms who came out to dry shores from the sea, lost their memories of free waters, memories of feet and eyes the worm has become one with the moving part of the underground, giving the earth its breath. The earthworm is mother to plants – nurturer of the soil, blacksmith of fecal-stones, burrower of the ground, one to drain rain and pump air into the earth. The lungs of the underground, moving the entire earth unseen by the human eye.

This is a story of what seems primitive to us humans, of what burrows the soil and hammers out stone coprolites. This is a story where Primitivism is Power!
